New Lululemon Outfit! Bandha Crop in Soot Light & Swiftly Tank in Spry Blue!

Posted on 2:08 PM by dividedend
I went to Lululemon yesterday to browse around, but mainly to pick up the Swiftly tank in spry blue. For some reason I like spry blue better in the swiftly material.  As usual, swiftly tones down the color a little, so it looks lighter than the same color in luon.  I think it's just gorgeous!  So I picked one up in size 6, which is my size up.  I recently found that I like the fit of 6 much better in this tank.

I had been kind of eyeing the Bandha Crop in soot light/ groovy stripe nimbus since they came out a few weeks ago, but wanted to try them on in store.  When I was at a different store location last week, they were out of this color way in my size 4.  I tried on a size 2, but it was too shiny in the legs which I think is a sign that the material is being stretched too much.  Although the waist fit just fine in size 2.  So yesterday when I saw a lone pair of size 4 left in these, I tried them on.  Much better!  The waist still isn't loose or anything, and they no longer look shiny in the legs.  I was also very surprised by the fact that they are not sheer AT ALL!  I find that most Lululemon bottoms of late are kind of like 90% not sheer, so I expected these to be somewhat sheer, especially in a non-black color.  But they are completely opaque.

The fit is superb too!  The waistband is nice and wide - wider than wunder unders for sure.  I think it looks a little deceiving since the waistband has the groovy stripe nimbus print on the top half and solid soot light on the bottom half.  So optically it looks like a thin waistband if you don't look closely.  The waistband seriously holds you in in all the right places and looks super flattering.

They are also made of 2 types of luxtremes - the front panel is regular power luxtreme, and the back is something called Interlock power luxtreme.  I don't remember hearing or seeing anything in this interlock power luxtreme before, so it may be a new material.  If so, I like it a lot!  It feels slightly thicker than regular luxtreme, and has a more cottony look and feel (not as shiny).  I actually thought it was luon at first, until I read the description.  I'm sure this is why these crops are completely opaque, having interlock power luxtreme on the back, as opposed to other power luxtreme bottoms that are the same all the way around.

Anyways, here's the outfit on me, I like these two paired together.

And here are some more shots of the crops on me:

Cute keyhole detail on the side of the legs:

The only thing I am not crazy about in the pair that I got is that the bottom trim of the legs got 2 completely different pieces of groovy stripe nimbus.  It looks like one leg has a lot more white than the other side:

These were the only size 4s at the store, and these crops have sold out in size 4 online for a while now. I like them and want to keep them, but I'd ideally like to swap them out for a pair that has more even distribution between the two legs.  I like the look of the left side better with more white.  I think the web model has a good one on.  But I'm just not sure if I can find another pair.  So I might have to suck it up and just keep these.  Maybe it's not that big of a deal and I'm the only one that notices?
